BTX object-fact types (Business Transaction types) now support dimensional modeling metadata directly in the Role Editor.

When editing a BTX type, the root role offers:

• Operations: the standard Create, Read, Update, Delete checkboxes, plus the ability to add custom operations such as Export, Print, or any domain-specific action.
• Report use: indicates whether this fact type maps to a Fact table, Aggregate view, or Snapshot in the data warehouse.

For each non-root role (the participating concepts), dimensional properties can be set:

• Role type: Dimension, Degenerate dimension, Measure, or Exclude — controls how the role contributes to the star schema.
• Aggregation function: SUM, AVG, COUNT, MIN, MAX, or COUNT DISTINCT — applicable when the role type is Measure.
• Lookup dimension table: the name of an existing dimension table to reference for conformed dimensions.
• Change handling: Slowly Changing Dimension type (Type 1 overwrite, Type 2 history, Type 3 previous-value column).
• Is Date Dimension: marks the role as the time axis of the fact table.

This allows a single BTX fact type to describe both its operational behavior (CRUD, custom actions) and its analytical structure (star schema layout, SCD policy, aggregation rules) without requiring separate documentation.
