Summary0005510: Snippet template mechanics: save and apply behaviour
Description

Snippet templates (.igt files) are small reusable model patterns built around a Template-typed OFType. When a template name matches a reserved indicator name on an OFType (such as Annotatable, Transitional, or Localization), the template is also used to drive virtual mapping columns for that indicator in the source mapping view.

Two rules govern how templates are created and applied:

Saving a template:
A snippet can only be created from a selection that contains at least one Template-typed OFType. The types related to it — those that play a role in its fact types — are included automatically. Selecting other types alongside a Template type does not add them as roots of the snippet.

Applying a template:
When a template is applied to a model, the application first checks whether the template is already present. If the Template-typed anchor already exists in the model and originates from the same template file, the import is skipped. When imported, the types from the template remain linked to their source template rather than being adopted as local types, so the model correctly reflects where each type originated. No merge dialog is shown; items that cannot be merged are silently skipped.
