| Summary | 0005609: Support modeling unknowns: 'gap' concept or container shape | ||||
| Description | When modeling, there is currently no concept that represents what we do not yet know. A modeler often needs to sketch a silhouette of a missing piece and show how it connects to known facts. Proposed enhancement:
This would allow modelers to communicate uncertainty and incomplete knowledge directly inside the diagram instead of working around it. | ||||

Implementation note: the upcoming resource iconpack will introduce a 'puzzle.png' icon. That icon needs to be injected into the ELM (element) icon set so it can be selected as the element concept for an OTFT representing a gap/unknown. |

|
Resolved by adding the 'puzzle' icon to the ELM (element concept) icon set. An OTFT can now be marked as a gap by selecting the puzzle element concept. Out of scope for this ticket: containers and concepts cannot yet be annotated as 'still needs work / unresolved'. That broader annotation mechanism is not part of this resolution. |
