| Summary | 0005703: Guided 'Add role' dialog clarifying the intent of each link | ||||
| Description | When adding a role from one type to another, the picker was a plain list that gave no indication of what the resulting link would mean. Depending on the kinds of types involved, a link between two types can express very different things: a relation and its direction, a subtype or generalisation, a classification, containment, or extending a type's verbalisation with an extra role. Users need a guided dialog that, for the chosen pair of types, offers only the meaningful intents as clear sentences with a live preview, so the meaning of every link is explicit and deliberate. | ||||

Added an interactive 'Add role' dialog. After choosing a target type it presents only the link intents that make sense for that pair, as clear sentences with a live preview and type icons: extend a fact/object type's verbalisation with the role, add the role in a separate expression (generalisation), classify a type, relate concepts (uses / used by / related / subtype / supertype), contain members, or specialise a label by its datatype. Classification links no longer appear as ordinary fact roles and no longer widen a fact type, and model-quality checks now flag meta-level mistakes. |
