Once everyone starts speaking their own language and there's no common understanding through common language use, there will be chaos. Any attempt to execute any BI solution on this tower of Bable will generate ambigious and meaningless results. The way forward is to create a common language, at the very least some shared language, and at the same time allowing and supporting unshared specific language. Therefor an architecture must support information models on various levels of information re-use to standardize the language in the organization, and to align the various data components in the organization so the BI efforts become more efficient.communication is key
